Obama in Middletown
This afternoon it was announced that Barack Obama would be subbing for Ted Kennedy as Wesleyan’s Commencement speaker on Sunday. Earlier this week Kennedy suffered a seizure and was soon after diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. Surrounding concern for Kennedy’s health, there was a lot of speculation on campus about who might take up the reins in the senator’s absence. Nobody that I eat sandwiches with predicted Obama. Way to go Dems. That’s how you pass the baton.
Update: The event will be webcast via a third party provider beginning around 10:45 Eastern time, and you’ll need Windows Media Player or an equivalent plugin to watch.
