Five Things I Learned This Week

(Other than the hybrid Fit…)

We can sleep eight people in our house on short notice.
Without irony, major media outlets published photos of “uncontacted” indigenous people who were pointing at the people with the camera.
You can compare two directories and write the results to a file, minus some cruft, using diff -rq dir1 dir2 | grep -v -e 'DS_Store' | sort > diffs.txt in OS X.
There Will Be Blood is phenomenal and deserves all the hype (thanks for the loaner, Matt!); P.T. Anderson just keeps getting better and better.
Scarlett Johansson has released an album of Tom Waits covers.
